It's in really rough shape we hope we can salvage it. But, I bought a 67 front and rear seat to be safe. This one might be good for the frames but the seat springs are about half the side they were in 64. Body parts are coming off bit by bit and are on their way to Tim the body guy and he is going to sandblast and prime all the parts. The next item up for bids is removal of the engine and the gas tank. The gas tank needs to be drained and sent out for repair and the engine needs to be pulled for tear down and clean up. The seats are ordered and they are from a 67. We went for these seats for two reasons; number one because of their great condition and number two the seat belt holes were already there. They are waiting to be picked up and taken to be reupholstered.

Welcome to my blog

Hello and welcome,

This is my first attempt at a real, honest and for truly blog. I will attempt to document the restoration of my 1964 Chevelle.

To start, I found this Chevelle on Craigslist.com in Detroit Michigan. I decided to go look at it and was not thrilled at first. But as I thought about it more, the little car grew on me. Plus my wife liked and she owned 64 Buick special at one time. I bought it for $3500.00 in Sept 2006.

Off we were to the races.....
